Questions

The things worth asking.

What counts as a seat, and are clients and crew free?

A seat is someone in your studio: a producer, a coordinator, anyone working across your jobs. People you bring onto a single job, a DP or an editor or an AD, get access to that job only and use no seat. Clients reviewing work need no account at all. Both are unlimited on every plan.

Is the free plan really free, or is it a trial?

Free forever, and no card to start. It is one seat and one active project, which is enough to run a real job from the brief through client sign-off and delivery. It is deliberately a whole job rather than a crippled version of one, because the only way to know whether this fits your studio is to put a live job through it.

What happens when I finish my one free project?

Archive it and start the next one. Archiving takes a job out of the count without deleting anything, and an archived project still opens, so a year of finished work stays readable on the free plan. Solo lifts the cap entirely when you need two jobs open at once.

What is a Runner turn?

One question and the answer to it. Runner reading four things across the studio and coming back with a number is a single turn, not four. Runner starts on Solo. Everything else that uses AI here is unmetered on every paid plan: reading a supplier invoice or estimate, pulling deliverables out of a signed SOW, reading a treatment into a shot list, and polishing a message before you send it.

What counts toward storage?

Files you upload or import: assets and their versions, cuts, generated takes, documents. Conversations you link from Gmail, Slack or Chat stay where they already live and count for nothing. Archived projects do not count either, so a studio with years of finished work behind it is not paying for the archive.

Can I change plans in the middle of a month?

Yes, in either direction, and the difference is prorated. An upgrade takes effect straight away rather than at the next renewal, because the reason people upgrade is usually a job starting on Monday.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. No contract, no notice period, and no call to sit through. An annual plan runs to the end of the term you have already paid for.

What happens to my work if I stop paying?

You drop to the free plan rather than going dark. Every project still opens and every file still downloads, and nothing is deleted. Holding a client's masters hostage to a renewal is not a business we want to be in.

Do you offer a student or education rate?

Yes. Write to us from your institution address and we will sort it out.

Something not answered here? Write to us and you will get an answer from the person building it.
